Perhaps you know what it is you need….or perhaps you don’t. You may just have a feeling that something is not right…or that you are looking for more… perhaps you are seeking help to identify exactly what the problem is and guidance on how to solve it. You are in the right place.
Hypnosis is a natural state that we go in and out of all the time. Have you ever driven somewhere and not recalled the journey? Have you ever had to go back a few pages when reading a book because for some reason your mind was elsewhere and now you have lost the plot? These are examples of when we are in the altered state of awareness know as hypnosis and our attention is focussed internally rather than externally. It is completely natural and can be very relaxing. It also has the benefit of being an effective learning state in which our unconscious mind can take on board and process new information creating powerful change. On its own, hypnosis can be used to facilitate relaxation which can be hugely beneficial for those suffering with stress, anxiety or just feeling like they need a little TLC.
Psychotherapy is a broad term used to describe a form of ‘talking therapy’. More in depth than counselling, it can help us to understand the way that we see the world and why. This can help improve our mental health, be more in control of our emotions and solve problems in both our personal and professional lives. Anyone can benefit from psychotherapy. When a therapist uses these approaches together with hypnosis, it is called ‘hypno-psychotherapy’. This combined approach enables us to access and utilise helpful unconscious resources during the process.
In my experience, people can rarely (if ever) be reduced to a bullet point or two. Therefore, if you are unsure, please book a free 15-minute consultation to explore how I can help you
Whether you contact me directly through my website, telephone or email, you can be assured that your enquiry is handled confidentially and with no obligations. All communications are handled personally by me in the strictest confidence.
You are the expert on your own life. For this reason, I adopt a person-centred approach to therapy. This means we work together in understanding what it is you need and want from our collaboration. As an integrative therapist I am trained in a wide variety of approaches which we can use to create a bespoke experience for working through whatever it is you need.
Individuals vary significantly in how many sessions of therapy they undertake. Some clients want or require a short and specific intervention for a particular issue, whilst others prefer a longer journey of self-exploration. Things tend to become clearer after the first couple of sessions where, if required, we can gauge an idea of the number of sessions you may require depending on your aims. There is no right or wrong and we will regularly review your progress and goals together.

I understand that finances can be a barrier to seeking help for many. I therefore offer a number of sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays at a reduced rate. If you would like one of these slots please contact me to check current availability.
There are several ways of paying for your sessions, I accept cash, card and bank transfer. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s office. Please see my privacy policy to understand how your data is protected in line with GDPR.
I take your confidentiality extremely seriously. As such, I do not publish testimonials from past clients. This is because the Advertising Standards Authority can request that I disclose the identity of clients who have submitted testimonials should they wish to verify them, and this would compromise that confidentiality.
In addition, every person is unique, and their experience of therapy will be as unique as they are. One or several people having a good experience with a particular therapist is no guarantee that the next person will. Exploring who feels right for you through doing your own research and through some introductory chats is likely to be more beneficial in helping you connect with the therapist that is right for you.
