In my role as a medical doctor, I felt at times somewhat bewildered by the variety and complexity of language used around mental health. Does this person need a psychotherapist? Or a counsellor? If so, what level of qualification? (There are many!) What type of therapy? (Again – too many to count!).
I thoroughly researched all the available disciplines, before taking the decision to train as an integrative therapist. This allowed me to study a variety of ideas and techniques from a range of different psychotherapeutic disciplines rather than subscribe to one particular school of thought. My holistic approach results in highly tailored and individualised therapy that addresses your specific needs and goals rather than adopting a ‘one size fits all’ approach. It puts you in the driving seat, and ensures we paint with the right brush for each stroke when it comes to creating the future you desire.
Hello, I am Dr Siobhan Reilly – a medical doctor turned therapist – and I use my unique skill set to help people like you, solve problems, feel better and design the life they want.
But rewind a little, and you would find me a burnt-out mother of three trying to juggle the demands of a professional career with family life in the midst of wondering both who I was and where I went. Unsurprisingly – there was no prescription for that. I knew deep down that there must be another way, but I lacked the knowledge, the tools and the confidence to get there – I couldn’t even visualise where ‘there’ was. Navigating this labyrinth of life brought me to one dead end after another.
During a privileged 10 years spent working as an NHS doctor – experiencing life, death and everything in between – I had become intensely curious about what made people thrive rather than survive. This curiosity, combined with the desire to resolve my own personal challenges, led me to pursue higher training in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. Through this my journey evolved, and I finally found my exit to freedom.
This experience had such a transformative impact on me personally, as well as my family, that I feel compelled to share it with others. I am now able to guide people, like you, away from those dead ends and towards sustainable positive change and personal growth.
